Cheongju ECC is a full-service resource circulation company. Under its comprehensive recycling permit, it collects, hauls, sorts and processes recyclables for businesses, logistics centers, manufacturers, public institutions and apartment complexes.
We are a reliable buyer of recovered paper (OCC, corrugated, newspaper and more) and other recyclables from businesses and logistics centers. We also collect, haul and treat general and recyclable waste from worksites, giving each customer a resource circulation solution built around its needs.
We also bid for recyclables collection contracts at apartment complexes, collecting household recyclables ourselves and handling sorting, baling and dispatch in one stop at our own materials recovery facility (MRF). Sorting residue that cannot be recycled is turned into SRF (solid recovered fuel) instead of going to landfill or incineration, and supplied as an alternative fuel to paper mills and energy facilities that operate incinerators.

From treatment to resource circulation
Waste treatment is an industry of permits and proof. Cheongju MRF holds permits issued under Korea's Wastes Control Act and records every step, from intake and weighing to sorting, baling and dispatch, through the national Allbaro manifest system. Trust starts with openly publishing the permit details and the process a waste generator needs to verify.
We measure performance by the resources we return to circulation rather than by tonnage treated. In-house equipment such as optical sorters raises sorting accuracy, and we are moving the center of the business from treatment to recovery, as a resource-circulation specialist.
