HRM's plastics desk trades PCR (post-consumer recycled) material: rPP, rHDPE, rLDPE and rPET as flakes and pellets, and baled scrap sorted by resin. We source from recyclers and MRFs worldwide, and from our own Cheongju MRF in Korea, and supply compounders, converters and brand owners that need certified recycled content, for example to meet the EU packaging regulation (PPWR). HRM holds GRS certification for trading and manufacturing; for GRS-certified trades, evidence is managed under the chain-of-custody procedure and Transaction Certificate requirements.

We buy baled post-consumer scrap (LDPE film, PET bottles, PP, HDPE) and PCR flakes and pellets. Send the resin, form, color, packing and loading port, plus MFI or IV if known.

Quality and compliance
- PCR is resin made from plastics collected after consumer use, as distinct from post-industrial (PIR) scrap. It is the material brands count toward recycled-content commitments.
- By resin and form: PP, HDPE, LDPE and PET as flakes or pellets. Color, melt flow index, moisture and contamination specifications are agreed per deal.
- Traceability: HRM holds GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certification and supports deals that require documented recycled-content provenance.
- Regulation: as recycled-content mandates spread, the EU packaging regulation (PPWR) among them, a verified PCR supply chain is becoming a procurement priority for brands and converters. HRM manages sourcing through customs and logistics.

- What is PCR, and how is it different from PIR?
- PCR is plastic recovered after consumer use: bottles, film, containers. PIR (post-industrial) is factory scrap that never reached a consumer. Regulations that set recycled-content targets generally count PCR.
- Do you trade as principal or as an agent?
- As principal. HRM signs as the buyer or the seller, and the desk manages sourcing, inspection, documents, shipping and claims itself. Where it helps a deal, we also work with brokers and agents.
- Do you only trade material from Korea?
- No. We source from recyclers and MRFs worldwide as well as from our own Cheongju MRF, and sell where the material is consumed. Our partners are in more than 30 countries across five regions.
- Which resins and forms do you handle?
- rPP, rHDPE and rPET as flakes and pellets, rLDPE as pellets, and baled LDPE, PET, PP and HDPE scrap. Specifications (MFI or IV, color, contamination) are agreed per deal.
- How do you prove recycled content?
- HRM holds GRS (Global Recycled Standard) certification for trading and manufacturing, issued by Control Union. For GRS-certified trades, evidence is managed under the chain-of-custody procedure and Transaction Certificate requirements. Field photos, weighing records and trade documents are captured in ECOYA SNAP and Trade OS (ECOYA ERP), HRM's own software, which is being developed so that the same evidence can also serve the EU's digital documentation requirements for recycled products.
- Can you help with EU PPWR recycled-content requirements?
- We support customers who must meet tightening recycled-content rules such as the PPWR with PCR sourcing and traceability documentation. GRS certification is not in itself PPWR conformity. Tell us the application and the recycled-content target, and the desk will propose resin, form, specification and the documents involved.
- Can you help with finance and payment terms?
- Yes, where a deal needs it. HRM structures payment terms and, for qualifying trades, arranges finance. See the trade finance page.
